Loud in the Library (LitL for short) is a small and enthusiastic ukulele group that meets fortnightly on Monday nights in the Gungahlin Public Library to sing, play music, and learn from each other. We welcome beginners, intermediate and advanced players. We try to play easy songs in the first hour, take a small break and then try to extend ourselves a bit in the second hour with new techniques and songs with more complex chords, melodies and rhythms.
We have a Spotify playlist that includes some of our favourite songs. The music we play is eclectic, covering most styles, but is perhaps more contemporary than most ukulele groups.
We kick off at 7 pm at Gungahlin Library (map), Conference Room 1 unless otherwise specified. This is an accessible venue, contact us for more details. We play for roughly two hours with a short break for a cup of tea (bring your own mug and teabag).
